⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem for Homemade Treats! If you’re ever in the Costa Mesa/Santa Ana area, don’t miss Hans’ Ice Cream & Deli at 3640 S. Bristol St., Santa Ana, CA. This place offers more than 30 different homemade, all-natural ice cream flavors, all made fresh on-site. You can truly taste the difference—the ice cream is rich, fresh, and incredibly delicious. Liz, one of the staff members, shared that their most popular flavors are Butter Pecan, Coffee, and Tar . Although I didn’t get to try those flavors this visit, they are clearly customer favorites. Unfortunately, they were out of my favorite flavor, Coconut Pineapple. That’s when Ruby provided one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. She happily offered to create it for me on the spot by combining their homemade coconut ice cream with real pineapple syrup. The result was outstanding! Every bite tasted like fresh coconut and juicy pineapple. It was refreshing, creamy, and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a Pistachio cone, and of course I had to try it. This is our second time visiting the place, and it’s still the best. I grew up with ice cream sundae shop, but not seeing many around nowadays. Hans’ Homemade Ice Cream is a perfect traditional ice cream sundae place that just makes adults and children excited for ice cream. Their ice cream is delicious. They have a variety of sundae menu. 10/10. The price is very reasonable for how much ice cream and toppings you get.

First time here. Ice cream was decent and the staff were pleasant. The place just comes across as a little dark and uninviting though. Some thought into how to make it more attractive to sit and eat at would make a good product a better business.

Alright!! These guys have to get 5 stars!!! Just in town for a couple of days for work and was looking for a treat after dinner and ran across them. Store has a great interior vintage vibe! Too bad it’s in a strip mall….but oh well! Great selection of flavors all of which sounded good! Talked to Alexandra and she gave me a great idea! For coming here on a whim couldn’t ask for anything better!! Great stop all around!!
